My Journey at Stansfield was one I happened upon - a last minute decision, more than an endeavour. But I have never had for one moment to look back and say ‘what if?’. On the academic front my most challenging moments were in my Singapore Modules where they pushed me into uncomfortable spaces making me shift gear into survival mode. That was the beginning of me taking this as a normal way of thinking and not just one I needed in overdrive mode. I have unforgettable moments of Mr.Vincent testing how we could be skeptics on one day and hyperglobalists on the next in his globalisation classes and Mr.Dube giving us what I can only describe as a “sweet awakening” in his Law classes.

It took me quite a while to figure if I had encountered an opportunity of a lifetime or a endurance test when I was one of the two students chosen to intern at stansfield singapore. I was lucky in a way because I still had the comfort of my Alma Mater around me. But the schedule was rigorous and they really put my nose to the grindstone throwing me into deep waters wherever possible. My superiors and mentors tested and pushed me on both a personal and professional level to points that I thought were of no return. And what came out of all this heaving weights… I really did find myself at Stansfield. More than just a feeling of coming home it was one of knowing myself, and that, is just the beginning.

Stansfield was a new Experience for me. I really didn’t like school education and college education system in India. There are times when I felt that there is no practical use to what I am studying now.

The “by-hearting”(memorizing) and replication of textbooks on a piece of paper during examinations is the way of providing justice to the years spent in an institution.

Here was the twist. I was expecting the same kind of environment in Stansfield. Boy was I wrong. For the most that I was in Chennai, I was in constant combat with my classmates and lecturers regarding topics in the syllabus. Not to decide what to learn, but to decide how useful and practical the syllabus was.

The Singapore trips provided a variant that made the entire Stansfield package a worthwhile experience that is going to give me an edge in my career ahead.

This is to thank the management and staff of the Stansfield School of Business for having given me an opportunity to explore, recognize and hone my latent skills. They have encouraged me to realize my potential by allowing me to think rationally. They have instilled in me a confidence that I will be able to make a mark in my career.

  • My life in stansfield was great. To start with I thought it was quiet expensive. But its not, its worth because I get an international degree and exposure. Professors in Singapore are incomparable. I can never forget the first day; I was like a fish out of water. Then as the days passed on I became part of the stansfield family. I learnt a lot of things from stansfield. The 3 trips to Singapore were really great. I got an opportunity to learn as well as enjoy. Now I am proud to do my internship in stansfield. I miss my days with stansfield; I wish I could get them back.

  • Before I joined Stansfield School of Business, I had no idea what strategic planning was.  But within Stansfield’s premises, I realized its importance in all aspects of life and business. I was fortunate enough to gain an excellent circle of friends, who enabled me to learn more. My lecturers greatly encouraged me, even when my English was not up to the mark. They analyzed my mistakes and molded me accordingly.

  • I had completed my U.G in Pachaiappas College, where I hadn’t gained much, except good friends. But my experience in Stansfield created a flame within me to earn a respectable position in life. During the Singapore trips, I had the opportunity to earn about several global level markets. I have personally committed myself to starting a business after visiting Singapore and observing the activities there.

  • My tryst with Stansfield began in 2007, when I walked in to enquire about a Diploma course they were offering. I was constantly asking myself I had made the right move. Over the years, my journey here evolved into something special that I will take away for the rest of my life. My experience here has spanned an inimitable range, from a Canadian undergraduate course, to a Singaporean postgraduate diploma to a truly international working experience.

  • When I was chosen to do my internship in Singapore, I had already acquired a thirst for success, but this experience was unlike any before. I was constantly driven to my creative limits and put under the spotlight to perform. But some of my best work also blossomed from that pressure, where I learned lessons which would enrich me for as long as I live.

  • They say that adaptation is the key to success in life and business, and this was the biggest lesson I learned from Stansfield. I was challenged to evolve and change according to the times, whether it was during the Singapore trips or while interacting with world-class lecturers. My perspective broadened, and I found myself thinking in entirely new ways. A whole spectrum of problem-solving was opened to me when I gained international exposure and guidance.

  • My question was answered: I had made the right move when I walked into Stansfield that momentous day on July 2007.
